Who it's for
Good for
- The newest entry-level iPad, with 128GB to start
- Schoolwork, streaming and video calls
- Apple Pencil (USB-C or 1st gen) and Magic Keyboard Folio
- A low-cost iPad that will get updates for years
Not for
- Apple Intelligence features (needs an M-series or A17 Pro chip)
- Apple Pencil 2 or Apple Pencil Pro
Our verdict
Same design as the iPad 10 with the faster A16 chip and double the base storage. The one to get if you want the newest standard iPad; step up to an iPad Air if you want Apple Intelligence.
