Who it's for
Good for
- Apple Pencil 2 and Magic Keyboard support
- USB-C and an all-screen design
- Students who want an Air on a budget
- Notes, streaming and light creative work
Not for
- Apple Intelligence features (needs M1 or newer)
- Heavy pro apps that benefit from an M-series chip
Our verdict
The redesign that brought the Air to USB-C and Apple Pencil 2. Still a capable everyday iPad; the Air 5 adds the M1 chip and Apple Intelligence for a bit more.
