Who it's for
Good for
- Face ID and a 120Hz ProMotion display for less
- Apple Pencil 2 for drawing and notes
- USB-C for drives and external displays
- Students and artists on a budget
Not for
- Apple Intelligence features (needs M1 or newer)
- Buyers who want the most remaining software support
Our verdict
The first modern iPad Pro: Face ID, ProMotion and Apple Pencil 2. Still quick for drawing and everyday work; the 2nd gen adds an ultra wide camera and LiDAR for a little more.
