Who it's for
Good for
- A big 13-inch Ultra Retina XDR OLED display
- Drawing, photo and video work with Apple Pencil Pro
- A laptop replacement with Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro
- Apple Intelligence on the M4 chip
Not for
- Apple Pencil 2 or older Magic Keyboards (not compatible)
- Buyers who only stream and browse (an Air is plenty)
Our verdict
The biggest iPad screen Apple makes, on a tandem OLED panel in a very thin body. Great for artists and video editors; the M5 version is faster, but the M4 is the better value.
