Who it's for
Good for
- The improved Magic Keyboard (no butterfly)
- Touch Bar and Touch ID
- Retina display with True Tone
- Students and office work
Not for
- Apps that need macOS 26 or later (tops out at macOS 15 Sequoia)
- Heavy workloads (Intel runs warm and loud)
- Battery life to match the M1 MacBook Pro
Our verdict
The 2020 two-port 13-inch Pro with the better keyboard. Fine for everyday work, but the M1 MacBook Pro that replaced it is much faster and supported longer.
