Who it's for
Good for
- Big 15-inch Retina display
- Dedicated AMD graphics and 512GB of storage
- USB-A, HDMI, SD card and MagSafe 2
- A reliable scissor keyboard
Not for
- Apps that need macOS 13 or later (tops out at macOS 12 Monterey)
- Battery life compared with Apple silicon
Our verdict
The top 2015 15-inch Pro, with dedicated graphics and more storage than the base model. A good pick for photo work and big-screen multitasking if Monterey is enough.
