Who it's for
Good for
- A huge 12.9-inch screen for video and reading
- Drawing with Apple Pencil (1st gen)
- Four speakers for movies
- Smart Keyboard support
Not for
- Apps that need iPadOS 17 or later (updates ended at iPadOS 16)
- Modern games or heavy pro apps
Our verdict
The original big iPad Pro. A lot of screen for video and sketching at a low price, but software support has ended; the 2nd gen adds ProMotion and one more year of updates.
